The Terratec California Switch and Bracing Vehicle are examples of Terratec's Tunnel Equipment.
Terratec California Switch
Terratec has manufactured "special" California Switches to enable custom concrete agitators to pass with trailers in the tunnel. The system self propels, can transfer 25 tonne trucks (or any weight to the customers specifications) laterally left/right across the tunnel to align with the concrete pump (for their form void filling etc.)

Bracing Vehicle
Terratec has manufactured bracing systems that will transfer the gripper force from the parallel tunnel TBM to the far wall of the previously excavated tunnel. Terratec has developed this concept, and the vehicle is completely independent of the TBM and is diesel powered for both travel and reactive force actuation.
The system enables the tunnel boring machine to effectively excavate the second parallel tunnel to be exhumed without the intervening pillar collapsing.
This system ensures that no interruptions of the identical tunnel will encounter the project.

Segment Erectors
Terratec can design and manufacture a Segment Erecting system to suits your project needs. Terratec manufactures the Erectors for ease of use and reliability and they are robustly designed for any conditions that are encountered.
 |
|
The Erectors are designed to pick up and place segments in the tunnel, hold the segments while bolting occurs, and push on the segments with sufficient force to “set” the segment seals. After each ring of segments is erected, the segment erector pushes itself forward into position ready to erect another segment ring. The erectors advance rate is independent of the tunnel boring machine (TBM) and Backup System, allowing the flexibility of continuing segment erection procedures during TBM down time.
The segment erector also has the capacity to “step through” ground support sets, if these are installed during tunneling.
Terratec re-manufacturers used tunnel and boring machines, backup systems and other types of equipment.
